Signage system for Schiphol Airport
Signs at Schiphol serve as calming beacons for nervous air passengers. In 1967 Benno Wissing developed a clear sign system for the new terminal that stood out for its simplicity. The text stated the destination, arrows indicated the directions, yellow stood for arrivals and departures, while everything else was green. The colours formed bright accents in the neutral interior designed by Kho Liang Ie.
