Two Images of Vajrasattva and a Vajra
The thunderbolt, or vajra, is a powerful symbol in both Hinduism and Buddhism. Small bronze vajras are often used in rituals, together with a handbell (ghanta). The Buddhist deity Vajrasattva embodies the power of the vajra and is here depicted holding a vajra to his chest and a handbell at his hip.
