Atalanta with her Followers
After the mythological Greek hero Meleager had killed the Calydonian boar, he presented the head and hide of the animal to the huntress Atalanta. His uncles objected and tried to seize the trophy from Atalanta, so Meleager killed them. With virtuoso skill, David Heschler has orchestrated the tumult into a festoon of Classical human figures and hounds.
