Belt
Women in early 17th-century portraits are often shown wearing belts made of precious metal. Small useful items, such as cutlery and toilet accessories, could be fastened to them. There were a number of variations in the belts. This one is assembled of three-dimensional cast links. The parcel-gilding of the links creates a variegated effect.
