In reviews of exhibitions, Tamminga’s paintings were often criticized for not being picturesque enough. Her graphic art, however, was positively judged for the same decorative character. She was therefore quite often urged to design posters. Evidently, the fact that she already did so in practice, along with advertising material such as this brochure, was hardly known.
