Coupe
Fashioned by a goldsmith, the mount of this cup immediately catches the eye. The pattern of flowers and birds was first chased in gold, and then filled with glass powder and fired. Given the different melting point of each colour of glass, the process must have been repeated at least seven times. The handle was subsequently set with gemstones.
