Mythological amorous couples are portrayed on the bowl of this goblet: Apollo and Daphne, Diana and Endymion, and Leda and Jupiter. These depictions are virtually identical to ones on a dish signed by the famous Milanese lapidary Francesco Tortorino. He was employed by
Emperor Maximilian II in 1569.
