Dish with a lavender blue glaze
Two Dishes.
Jun stoneware was made primarily in the Yu district of Henan Province. The light blue glaze is thick and opaque and consists of iron and copper pigments. The copper oxidizes under the right conditions during the firing process, resulting in the crimson and purple splashes visible on these dishes.
