Handspun white cotton, plain weave with multi-coloured woollen brocaded cross bands of geometrical designs all over garment; centre panel has one band of animal designs. Brocaded cross bands form a block on front and back below neck opening. Centre panel has narrow red warp stri­pes along edges. The circular neck opening is finis­hed with a broad red satin rib­bon, decorated with white zigzag band and multi-coloured 'randa' work. A piece of the same red ribbon is attached to the front and left hanging loose. Used with Mixtec shawl see 5075-34 and black woollen wrap-around skirt similar to see 5075-161.
