All-white textile, 'fancy gauze weave' technique. Structural patterning: plain weave with stripes of single-face weft brocading, selvage to selvage, white on white, over-4, un­der-2 method, combined with various gauze techniques, gives textural variation. Separately woven fringe, loose wefts are knotted into triangular points, tassels added. Used by Amusgos and the Negros of the Costa Chica, for 'mayor­domías'.
