Schelptrompet
Blowing shells, what occurred at both religious rituals and military ceremonies, was spread throughout Mesoamerica. The shell as a ritual musical instrument was allready firmly embedded in the culture of Teotihuacan. That culture subsequently influenced the Aztec use of the instrument during the Postclassic period.
