In 1966 a series of twelve potsherds and some pieces of flint were donated by S.M. ter Hart-Vittali (series RMV 4180), surface finds from the family ranch near Estevan, Saskatchewan. The ceramic fragments came from cordwrapped pottery that probably ended up in Saskatchewan through trade with the proto-Mandan and proto–Hidatsa in the Middle Missouri Valley who produced such ware.
