Schaal met drie holle poten met verticale spleten aan de binnenzijde. In één poot zit nog een kleibolletje. De poten stellen mogeijk gestyleerde dierenkoppen voor (vogels?). Aan de binnenzijde is de schaal beschilderd met geometrische motieven en gestyleerde gezichten. De stijl staat onder invloed van Meso-Amerika (Maya-cultuur).<BR> 17-10-2001: Decoratie elementen zijn luna-stijl achtig, een stijl die echter absoluut geen connectie heeft met Maya-cultuur en vrijwel niet voorkomt rond Atlantic Watershed, maar waarvan het centrum zich in het eiland Ometepe lijkt te bevinden.<BR> <BR> --------------------<BR> 11-10-2005<BR> <BR> Tekening op bodem stelt het tweehoofdig monster voor, Lothrop classificeerde deze als type A. Features black and red painted bands and circle motifs. The decoration and shape seem to indicate that this is a Nicoya Polychrome of the Madeira type, though the inside motifs to present some Luna characteristics, making this vessel somewhat of a hybrid. Madeira was first named by Norweb (1964) and was likely produced during the Sapoá period (800-1250 CE) in Pacific Nicaragua. The circular motifs that appear on the inside of the vessel are not typical of the style and have been likened to Maya pseudo-glyphs.<BR> <BR> Nicoya Polychrome<BR> Type: Madeira with Luna characteristics
