(without ties), w. 1.6 cm., d. 15 cm.; ca. 1880.<BR> The pretty band of woven beadwork in a repeating beaded pattern of oppositional white and blue triangles could equally have been used as a bracelet, choker, or garter, and shows signs of considerable wear. On a base of commercial cotton a band of woven beadwork has been applied. The opaque white and clear blue beads are strung on plant fiber. The second necklace consists of a twisted cotton string that is threaded through the natural opening of the shells at the base and the manually perforated top, holding them securely in place in a tight row.<BR> (Hovens 2008-09)<BR> <BR> Halssnoer van kralen, witte en blauwe driehoeken.
