Muhammad Ahmad ibn as Sayyid Abd Allah (Mahdi of Muhammad Ahmed Al Mahdi) was een religieus leider in Sudan. Hij werd op 12 augustus 1844 op Labab Island geboren en riep zichzelf in 1881 uit tot Mahdi. In 1885 leidde hij een succesvolle strijd rond de stad Karthoum door de Britse en Egyptische bezetters te verdrijven. Kort na de overwinning stierf hij op 22 juni 1885.
