Cap with Morning Glories
The fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli launched a signature bright pink known as ‘shocking pink’, the colour of some of the morning glories on this little cap. According to the hat’s owner, Schiaparelli’s unconventional designs need not make a woman elegant, because her clients already were! While the designs were meant to draw attention, their refined workmanship ensured that a woman never looked ridiculous.
